I sure am glad to see September even if it feels like August. Our heatwave continues… But as soon as the calendar hits that first Ber month I know Fall won’t be far behind.

My Mom loved The Gilmore Girls and I watched it with her every chance I got. I’ve been seeing the watch schedule where if you start watching on September 22nd and watch 4 episodes a week then the shows holidays and seasons line up with real life. I’m going to do it. And on another note, I sure miss my Mom.

I’ve been working in my Christmas planner. My gift shopping list is pretty simple this year. Some gifts are already bought and waiting in my Christmas closet. I need to buy 2 big gifts. I need to buy the supplies to make one gift and I have some homemade canned goods for some gift baskets. And the rest will be cash or gift cards. And I need a few more stocking stuffers.

I need to keep reminding myself that I do not need to buy Christmas cards. And I do not need to buy Christmas gift wrap, boxes or bags. I need to use up what I already have. I bet I don’t listen to me though.

Another HOT and DRY day. We really need some rain. We are feeding daily now because the pasture is gone. Thanks to the drought we’ve got about half the hay we need for the Winter and we’re already feeding it. Fortunately for me I’ve been backwards and poor all my life so I’ve got a headstart on y’all. If you know you know right. Better to laugh than cry at this messed up world.

It’s another day of this miserable heat. The forecast says we can expect another week of this before the weather breaks.

I bought a mum yesterday. I just could not resist the beautiful purple. I noticed there were butterflies on it this morning. I haven’t put out any of my Fall yard decorations yet so maybe this will give me the boost I need to get started.
